Beware fellow Autotech's sometimes between the you and the manufacturer a little mishap goes down with your sparkplug called "floorgapping".

Floor gapping means is exactly that. Somebody, somewhere dropped your package of sparkplugs and the result is an incorrect gap or a cracked insulator. When prepping for a tune you should inspect those plugs closely for insulator cracks and readjust the gap to suit. I've ran into gobs of techs that will tackle a tune on a V8 with cop ignition system and overlook gapping and insulator inspection ending up with a misfire. We've all been guilty of this one at one time or another some company's sale plugs that are supposedly pre-gapped which only makes us assume they are ready to be installed thereby causing us to speed up the process. So take a moment to look at those spark plugs thoroughly you will think yourself in the long run.
